KWLT Roof Update

Thanks to some interim financing made available to us by three friends of KWLT, we have been able to contract with Versteeg Contracting to repair our roof. Work started the weekend of October 21 when we emptied out the Studio, and started some initial demolition. Versteeg started work in earnest October 30 and the Studio is now an empty shell waiting for two days without rain so that the roof can be removed and replaced. The front lawn is almost completely full, with the dumpster and the new roof trusses - we're praying for good weather in the days before the Shakespeare show opens, which will allow the contractor to get things well under way. After the new roof goes up, gets sheathed and shingled, and the outside details get filled in, it will be our responsibillity to insulate, wire and finish the interior, and rebuild the Studio to be better than ever. If you can volunteer some of your time, leave a message at KWLT for Paul McKone. And stay tuned for the official launching of our Building and Capital Projects fundraising campaign!
